You can specify how you want to crop the image.
In Edit Pictures task pane, click on Rotate and Flip. Images can be rotated left or right, rotated by degrees and flipped horizontally or vertically. This will bring up the Edit Pictures task pane on the left. Click the dropdown arrow next to the Zoom box. To view an image at a specific percentage: To change the magnification level gradually: The view buttons are located under the toolbar or you can use the view menu. Single Picture View will display only the selected image. Filmstrip View will display the images along the bottom of the screen, but the selected image will be enlarged and positioned above. Thumbnail View will allow you to see each image in miniature. 
There are three ways to view your images.
Remove shortcut Do NOT select Delete, which will delete the actual folder and any files in it. You can delete any shortcuts you don’t want by right clicking on them and choosing: A shortcut to My Pictures within My Documents is already created, but you can create your own shortcuts. Picture manager allows you to add shortcuts so you do not need to keep opening files each time you use it.
